    Matt,

Thanks for the response. I checked out the other Super-8 board and saw that you said you were using CP16. Cool. I'm an Arri SR man, but if you get a good CP, they are great. Good luck with the project.

As to small crews, if you have a good core of dedicated people, sometimes they can be better than a crew of 20.

As to the stills, which I think you addressed, is get some good PR stills for the distributor and video box. Nothing is worse than the distributor putting together some bad box art using a model which was never in your movie. Happened on a movie I shot several years back called "Demon's Kiss". Stink-o-rama box art.

Yes, but is the cover art your fault? No it's the ******* distributor's fault.

It is always a good idea to take stills, thinking in terms of cover art. I always say when people walk in my office: "What does the poster look like?"

That is when it comes to genre films like it looks like you and Matt Pacini are doing.

I hope Matt Pacini takes your advice. It will go a long way to selling his movie if he can put together a really good poster with some exciting stills to back it up.

In a film like he seems to be doing, the script is secondary as long as it hits the genre highpoints and has good looking young people in it. He seems to have those.

I agree, the cover art is mostly the distributors area, but if you have decent public relations stills, then at least you can steer them in the right direction. Most of the time you have little of no say.
